Gwyneth Paltrow to get Glee role

Gwyneth Paltrow to get Glee roleGwyneth Paltrow is in negotiations to star in 'Glee'.

The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly in talks to star as a potential love interest for teacher Will Schuester - played by Matthew Morrison - in the musical TV show.

According to E! Online, the part was written specifically for the 'Iron Man' actress as she is a close friend of 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy.

We're going to rock the house. We're going to do some heavy metal - Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.

If the exciting casting does come to fruition, Gwyneth will play the role of a substitute teacher in two episodes, and will step in to take over the glee club when Mr. Schuester falls ill.

However, Gwyneth's character complicates Mr. Schuester's relationship with quirky guidance counsellor Emma (Jayma Mays) when he starts to fall for her.

Gwyneth - who will have an all-singing, all-dancing role in the show - is not the only Oscar-winning star set to make a guest appearance in season two of the Fox series.

Javier Bardem recently revealed he is set to appear as a rock star who befriends Artie (Kevin McHale).

He said: "We're going to rock the house. We're going to do some heavy metal - Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst."
