Victoria Beckham has apparently admitted that her solo singing career was a mistake, albeit one from which she is happy to learn.
The former Spice Girl said that she was "lost" when she teamed up with Truesteppers and Dane Bowers to launch 'Out Of Your Mind' in 2000 following the group's split.
The 35-year-old told Harper's Bazaar: "People never believed the solo singing career, and it wasn't the real me - I was a little bit lost at the time. I don't mind making mistakes."
The mother-of-three has since launched her own clothing collection and said that fashion is her true calling. "I was always pushed into the theatre and dance - it's just taken me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do," she said.
Former singer Victoria Beckham is reportedly devastated after learning she won't be gracing the cover of U.S. fashion bible Vogue - because she has already posed for the publication's main competitor.
The former Spice Girl is keen to make her mark on the fashion industry, and is proving a hit following the release of her first clothes line - even managing to persuade supermodel Elle Macpherson to don her expensive dresses.
The star is still seeking the approval of the heavyweights at American Vogue, and has been on a strict diet while sticking to haute couture fashion in a bid to impress magazine bosses and land the chance of appearing on the cover, according to a new U.K. report.
But Beckham has reportedly been snubbed by magazine editor Anna Wintour - because she has appeared on rival fashion publication Elle's cover. A source tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "Victoria hoped to land the Vogue cover but it fell through weeks ago. She posed for Elle instead and now Vogue won't consider her for at least four months."
The style icon has already appeared on the cover of British and Russian Vogue.
She's thrilled to be joining American Idol - but don't expect Victoria Beckham to swap that pout for a smile.
Days after we revealed that Posh was going to step into Paula Abdul's Louboutins on the hit reality talent show, she has called to tell us about her judging style.
Victoria, 35, tells us: "I am beyond excited. When I heard, I just couldn't believe it.
"I feel like I've got the best job that there is. I'm just so happy and I can't wait. I was in bed on Wednesday when I got the text from Simon Fuller saying: 'You're going to Denver'."
When she arrived at a downtown Denver hotel yesterday before the first round of auditions, scores of onlookers crowded around taking photos.
She said: "I'm a big fan of the show - I come to the shows with the kids and David loves it. I'm just so grateful to be given such a fantastic opportunity.
"I'm still grinning from ear to ear.
I'll try hard to pout and not shatter the illusion I'm a moody cow... but I don't know if I can!" Any contestants expecting a hard time from the Spice Girl-turnedclothes designer can breathe a sigh of relief.
Victoria reveals she's no Simon Cowell and insists she'll be "nice" to contestants.
She told 3am: "I know how it feels to be stood there and judged - and how it can feel when nerves get the better of you."
It has been a big week for Posh, who has also ended her £12million, one-year deal to model Armani undies. We hear: "Victoria loved the campaigns she did for Armani and the results were great.
"But she's a 35-year-old mother of three and feels it's time to move on.
She has never been busier."
Posh may be covering up but, good news, girls - Becks is still contracted to appear in his Armani pants. Phew!
DAVID and Victoria Beckham are house-hunting for a mansion in her home county, say her pals.
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is desperate to be close to her parents’ home in Hertfordshire when she and husband David Beckham move back to the UK later this year.
The pair are searching for a “substantial but secure” country pile after becoming convinced their current home, Beckingham Palace near Sawbridgeworth, isn’t private enough.
Posh, 36, who is expecting the couple’s fourth child, wants a grand mansion fit for her status as Queen of WAGS, and is keen to buy near her parents place in Goff’s Oak.
Friends of the couple claim they are looking for suitable properties around the Hatfield and Wheathampstead areas of the county – with money no object.
Estate agents in Herts are said to be desperately trying to come up with a Downton Abbey-style manor, pictured above, in and around the leafy commuter belt less than 30 miles from London.
One old friend said: “Basically they feel their current property just isn’t secure enough. Victoria wants to move closer to her parents and quite likes the area around Hatfield as it is close to some decent schools and is her old stomping ground.”
The couple, who will return to England when footballer David’s contract with LA Galaxy expires, spent the winter in Herts, enjoying family trips to the ice skating rink in Hatfield and Hemel Snow Centre. Victoria also enjoyed shopping in Hatfield’s Galleria centre.
“Victoria knows this area well and likes what it has to offer,” added the friend.
“She considers it home. This is even more important now she’s having another baby.”
David Beckham has slammed a hooker's claim that the footie ace had a threesome with her and another vice girl, saying that it was all a ridiculous smear. In fact, the former England captain has hired some of the world's top lawyers to fight the allegations, which are spreading like wild fire among media circles.
Beckham has branded them "wholly unfounded" and "a series of malicious lies".
"This is an absolute stitch-up job. David has been set up and we believe it may be a malicious attempt to discredit him,” the Sun quoted a friend as saying.
Becks launched the legal battle after brunette prostitute Irma Nici, 26, claimed he paid her 3,200 pounds in cash to have unprotected sex at New York's Le Parker Meridien hotel in August 2007.
Bosnian-born Irma said they were later joined by another hooker.
She claimed dad-of-three Becks, 35, paid 1,500 pounds to watch a lesbian romp before having sex with the second girl, described as a "curvy brunette".
After the other hooker left, Irma said, the LA Galaxy player gave her another 3,200 pounds to stay the night.
She claimed she met Beckham again a month later at Claridge's Hotel in London.
She said he again paid her 3,200 pounds for sex but was "sad" at the time because his father had suffered a heart attack.
Irma's story was splashed across America's In Touch Weekly lifestyle magazine.
And Becks has instructed his legal team to wage war on the magazine to clear his name.
“If this magazine and this woman think they can get away with smearing David, then they've got another thing coming,” said Beckham’s friend.
“They have created a complete falsehood using a handful of facts in an attempt to give the claims a semblance of truth.
“He was in New York at the time this woman suggests but any Tom, Dick or Harry could find that out on the Internet.
“He wasn't even staying at the hotel she has suggested. He was at the Waldorf Astoria.
“David and Victoria are very calm about this nonsense. They cannot believe a magazine like In Touch would print such a pack of lies. They will be fighting it tooth and nail,” added the pal.
Top US trial lawyer Bert Deixler - honoured for a string of landmark Supreme Court victories - has been hired to tackle the magazine.
Gerrard Tyrrell, senior partner at London media lawyers Harbottle and Lewis, will try to protect Beckham's UK interests.
And a team of German legal eagles are being instructed to take on Bauer for allowing the claims to be published "without proof".
Victoria Beckham gives her friends style advice.
The singer-turned-fashion designer has thrilled her pals with how well her new career is going and delights in sharing her knowledge and expert tips.
Her former Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton, who was recently pictured wearing one of her pal’s creations revealed, “I chose it myself and I love it. Victoria’s dresses always make you feel so stylish. I am so lucky to have a great friend who designs wonderful outfits! She is an amazing designer.
“It is so difficult to go from music and do something else and there is real pressure, but it’s worked out so brilliantly for her.
“She has given me her advice before and told me to keep it classic.”
Emma, who was also joined in the group by Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Mel C, also spoke of how much she enjoys spending time with her former bandmates’ children.
She added, “It was so nice on the last tour. I had just had my son Beau at the time. Mel C hadn’t had Scarlet at that point and she spent a lot of time with Beau. And so when I found out she was pregnant, I was so pleased. We all go, ‘Look at us with our bubbas!’ ”
However, the quintet don’t pass on parenting advice to one another.
Emma added, “Do we swap tips? No, we are gossiping girls!”
