I bought ICICI Lombardy:mad: gold plan (age upto 58 year ) for my mother, unfortunately she had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment for two days. The total expenditure was appx $16000 .
After 8 months of painful followups ICICI replied that they will approve $3900 only. And the reason they gave me was that if the insurer is 56 + year old they will apply sub limit. This is shocking. Visit ICICI website and find out this clause if you can.
If your parents are 56+ year old think twice before buying policy from ICICI.They are the worst in business and are there to cheat you.
oh.
Good tip to find out the coverage age limit first.

Hi all,
IV is in touch with USCIS and they have told us that if you have any questions, USCIS will try to answer those questions in their FAQ's.
We request IV members to post their questions on this thread. We request you all to please read all the questions before you post your questions. If you have same question(s) that somebody else have posted please say that I would like to ask the question posted by (IV handle). This would help us how many people have same question.
We also request you not to post the receipt notice questions. We were told that USCIS is working and will try everything possible so that you all get your receipt notice.
pdakwala...hats off to you guys...Although you guys must be really swamped with the rally work but still able to accommodate the basic needs of the IV members...thank...Here is my million dollar question--
What's going on with the cases that were applied at NSC but the I140 was approved at TSC? Is NSC going to transfer these cases to TSC? If yes, then when they are going to start doing this. We haven't seen a single receipt of those kind of cases for the application filed on July 2nd.
If you can get some clarity on this issue, that would be great.

Precisely the kind of issues IV is involved in raising and brining to the attention of lawmakers and the media.
Eventually we will all have our own priorities and options and exercise the ones we feel are right.
However, don't let this make you give up. If you're already making enough $$ and happy with your current job and career, perhaps you can ride it out. (I know it's easier said than done, but I suspect many of us are in the same boat).

Just when I was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel - it seems like I get hit with a 2 - ton brick wall.
I start my employer GC process back in April 2005 w/ a an Attorney from Florida. Very expensive, all over the phone ( I live in TX) doesn't say much but assures me everything will be ok and that I dont have to micromanage my case and to trust him. I had fairly good reference w/ this attorney.. Anyways.. starts my labor cert, perm, all that good stuff. We do the resume applications, etc. I notices as he is filing my labor cert that he puts under my employer sponsored future job position - executive secretary at a wage of $26K/ year. I ask him about it and he says that it's the best way to get a quick approval and to trust him. Never thought twice about it. I get my Labor CErt approved, I-140 approved late 2005. Then we go into the whole backlog issues.. this attorney gets into some hot water w/ the Florida bar association and gets suspended for un-ethical practices. Later on he would start working again. Never found out that the unethical practices where. BY this time, I have hired a NEW attorney, who is amazing. Also in FL, and this guy gets my case ready to file for Adj. of status as soon as dates became current. My application goes in, I get medicals done, I have my finger prints later on this month, get my EAD in the mail ( will stay w/ my H1B) .. all looks good.
I start thinking about the original salary and position for my GC. I contact my current attorney and he is floored. He apoligizes for not catching this discrepancy, and given that I currently work as an operations manager, making more than twice the amount on my labor cert (currently under my H1-B) he realizes that as soon as an INS official sees that , my app might be rejected. He says.. it might happen in a few weeks, they might not catch it for 1-2 years. Point is, if they do, good chance your app will be rejected !!!!!!!
I wanted to CRY!!
He suggests that we start a fresh w/ a new correct labor cert, cancel my current adj. of status, and told me honestly I will lose about 2 years. So now my green card looks to be about 5-7 years away...
I have had it.. more $$$, more time sitting waiting for approvals, having to chase down my future employer and explain to him why I need all new signatures . bla bla.. I think I will just let it ride out see what happens and if the s**t hits the fan, stay w/ my H1B as long as its valid, pack my bags, sell my house and go back home... as sad as it seems.. I am tired of this..
Any similar situations?

First, these are only primary applicants. I guess DOL/USCIS calculates with a factor 2.5 to include all dependents. Secondly, not all of EB2 and none in EB1 (not sure about that, though) needs an LC.
Not sure what all this means in terms of numbers, though ...
Thanks for clarification..
Few things:
1. Not sure for EB1 but for EB2 you need LC.
2. Numbers doesn't look as scary as I earlier thought.
3. If we can get relief for dependents (no visa numbers required); a big chunk of problem can be resolved..

Friends,
We all know that flower campaign to USCIS is a major success, but please realize that this is just a battle that we won in the entire war. Furthermore, please understand that a campaign should be well organized, and should sustain itself for a long time. If we create a lots of noise for initial two weeks and loose the passion afterwards, it will hurt the cause.
I think IV is going in an appropriate direction. First we arranged a flower campaign and attracted media attention. With the media attention, now a lots of common American people and their senators/congressmen understand what we stand for. The second phase should be ralles and peaceful demonstrations. Therefore please divert your energy to make these demonstrations a great success.
Sending flowers to White House should be our last resort. If nothing works, than unite and make a memorable flower delivery to white house. However I feel that the required moment has not arrived yet. My 2 cents.

sunnyg. You are doing very good job for supporting our efforts. We hope, we can get HR 5882 passed in this short time.
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX,
Thank you for your email regarding H.R. 5882 the bill regarding recapturing visas. I showed your email to Rep. Tiberi, and I wanted to call and discuss your email with you, but unfortunately I did not have a good phone number for you. Please give our district office a call at 614-523-2555 at your earliest convenience and they will be able to transfer you to me in our Washington, D.C. office.

I called and spoke to him. He was very polite and friendly. He mentioned that he is aware of the bill and that Congressman Tiberi's parents immigrated from Italy and knows well about Legal Immigration. As we all know, he was not sure if the bill would come on to the floor. But he metioned that if it does come, they would take the appropriate action.

Dude, if you read the posting it is not that difficult to find out what I am talking. Neither I deliberately tried to alter the meaning to offend some one. On the other hand pointing someone else at typing mistakes, while not focusing on the what I asking for, show what kind of person "u" "r". I am sure people who come here for information make many grammatically or spelling mistakes. Pointing on silly things show how narrow minded you are. Even if it is for fun, make sure that u r not offending someone. Go to any forums, "u" find that people are least bother of typing or grammatical mistakes. "U" find some one in this thread itself who is serious and reply to my posting.
Well, you got it wrong, man! Re-read what I said. It doesn't say anything about what you did. It is just my opinion on typos. There are many studies done about that. Jumble a few letters in a frequently used word, our mind would still read that right since it does not read letter by letter but look at pattern and positioning.
Eg: EB3 backlog due to dearth of visa numbers versus EB3 backlog due to death of visa numbers.

Chintu25 and others,
even i consulted two lawyers. one of them said there is no problem to start and run own part time business while having a sponsoring job that provides employment and salary support etc... the other was not so unequivocal... to be specific, i asked the question as such: "If you were to push me one way or the other, what way would you push me?" I was told something like this: 'Of course, my interest is only your I-485 petition and in that interest, i would say dont start anything other than your primary job'. essentially, i am under the impression now that two things are to watch out for: 1) your profits/salary from the business should not be big enough to suspect your intention of continuing with the primary job 2) if you have to answer RFEs or are asked to come for an interview with IO while adjudication of 485, then it all depends on the perception the IO gets about your intentions given that you have a business other than the primary job...
i am not stating all this to discourage... i want someone to prove me wrong... that way i will also go ahead with my dream...
I consulted with not one but two attorneys to make sure of the legality of the whole thing
Their take : If we have H1 we can work our day jobs and utilize EAD to either work part time or your own business.
NOW dont jump the gun.....If you find that cheesy or cocky , your spouse (for married people) can open a business in her name and start.
And let me quote Rich Dad "If you wait for all lights to turn green, you will be stuck at the signal forever"
I have some interesting quotes from a few books I am reading on entrepreneurship . If people are interested I can post a few here ..
Thanks
